BigMat offers construction professionals and private clients, products and <\/span><b>systems to build<\/b> <b>sustainable buildings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> characterized by high living comfort. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the first edition in 2013 <\/span><b>over 2,450 projects have taken part in the competition<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which has always promoted the <\/span><b>excellence of contemporary architecture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> awarding energy <\/span><b>efficiency and sustainable building<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 the criteria by which the entries are judged, along with comfort and livability. The competition is presided over by an <\/span><b>international panel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> made of relevant figures in the architectural scenes of the participating countries, led by <\/span><b>Jes\u00fas Aparicio (president)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Doctor of Architecture and Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and <\/span><b>Jes\u00fas Donaire (secretary)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Doctor of Architecture and Associate Professor at the same university.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards ceremony will be held on November 22<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2019 at Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux (France) during the annual international congress of BigMat
