{"id":18706,"date":"2019-01-29T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-01-28T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/2019\/01\/29\/un-ramen-bar-da-fumetto-youngtalents\/"},"modified":"2019-01-29T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T23:00:00","slug":"un-ramen-bar-da-fumetto-youngtalents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/en\/2019\/01\/29\/un-ramen-bar-da-fumetto-youngtalents\/","title":{"rendered":"A Colorful Ramen Bar &#8211; #youngtalents"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>A freshly renovated spot, as fresh, minimal and avant-gardist is the interior design project by Ben Berwick from the Australian architectural firm Prevalent.<\/h2>\n<p>Situated in a building from 1906 in Newcastle, <strong>SUSURU Ramen and Gyoza<\/strong> bar enlivens the fa\u00e7ade and street it rests on as a \u201cprelude to the plausible future\u201d and resembles \u201cwhat a hospital cafe might look like when drawn in a Pok\u00e9mon graphic novel\u201d.SUSURU\u2019s design breaks away from the traditional mining aesthetic typical of the area; taking cues from Tokyo metro station and train design, a predominantly white interior acts as a backdrop to a yellow highlight, a signifier of the brand\u201cTo this base, we add in temporary graphic design elements, menu boards, signage, tablet covers and doors that are made to add focal points and to draw attention\u201d as said by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prevalent.archi\/\">Prevalent<\/a> team.<\/p>\n<p>As the city develops, it attracts more foreign attention, whom don&#8217;t necessarily have the same rapport with what was largely a mining town many years ago.
