Art cannot stem the rise of nationalist movements and authoritarian governments in different parts of the world, for instance, nor can it alleviate the tragic fate of displaced peoples across the globe (whose numbers now represent almost one percent of the world\u2019s entire population),\u201d explains the curator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/art\/2019\">58th International Art Exhibition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-108604 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Abu-Hamdan-Lawrence_Walled-Unwalled_2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"787\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Art can be a kind of guide<\/strong> for how to live and think in \u2018<strong>interesting times<\/strong>\u2019 offering a new perspective on objects and images, gestures and situations. <strong>Artists offer alternatives to the meaning of so-called facts encouraging us to look askance <\/strong>at all unquestioned categories, inviting us to consider multiple alternatives and unfamiliar vantage points.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-108606 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Gonzalez-Foerster-Dominique-Cosmorama.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"787\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also <strong>President<\/strong> <strong>Paolo Baratta <\/strong>comments the adjective \u2018interesting\u2019: \u201c<strong>Interesting times evokes the idea of challenging or even menacing times<\/strong>, but it could also simply be an invitation to always see and consider the course of human events in their complexity, an invitation, thus, that appears to be particularly important in times when, too often, oversimplification seems to prevail, generated by conformism or fear. And I believe that an exhibition of art is worth our attention, first and foremost, if it intends to present us with art and artists as a decisive challenge to all oversimplifying attitudes.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_108615\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-108615\" style=\"width: 787px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-108614 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Paolo-Baratta-Foto-F-Galli-Courtesy-la-Biennale-di-Venezia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"787\" height=\"554\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-108615\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Paolo Baratta, President of the Venice Biennale<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Exhibition will develop from the Central Pavilion (Giardini) to the Arsenale, and will include <strong>79 artists<\/strong> from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Exhibition will also include <strong>91 National Participations<\/strong> in the historic Pavilions at the Giardini, at the Arsenale and in the historic city centre of Venice. 4 countries will take part for the first time in the Biennale Arte: <strong>Algeria, Ghana, Madagascar <\/strong>and <strong>Pakistan<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Dominican Republic<\/strong> and <strong>The Republic of<\/strong> <strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong> will participate for the first time with a pavilion of their own.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-108612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Singer-Avery-Self-portrait.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"787\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Italian Pavilion<\/strong> at the Tese delle Vergini in the Arsenale, supported and promoted by<strong> Ministero dei Beni e delle Attivit\u00e0 Culturali<\/strong>, Direzione Generale Arte e Architettura Contemporanee e Periferie Urbane, will be curated by <strong>Milovan <\/strong><strong>Farronato<\/strong> (Director and Curator of the <a href=\"http:\/\/fiorucciartrust.com\/\">Fiorucci Art Trust<\/a>.
