Here are some exhibitions dedicated to design for your spare time<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>May is traditionally the month of design in New York, a city that hosts many events during <strong>NYCxDESIGN<\/strong>. From 10 to 22 May, Times Square becomes a design hub with NYC Design Pavilion; while, from 19 to 22 May, the 31st edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ddnblog.it\/en\/2019\/04\/24\/icff-new-york-design-north-america\/\">ICFF &#8211; International Contemporary Furniture Fair<\/a> will be back. New York is also a cultural destination thanks to its wide offer of museums and galleries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Value of Good Design at the MoMA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/moma.org\/\">MoMA &#8211; Museum of Modern Art in New York<\/a> hosts one of the best design collections in the world, built over the years thanks to a painstaking collection work. The <strong>Curator of the Architecture and Design Department<\/strong> and Director of the Research &amp; Development Department is <strong>Paola Antonelli<\/strong>, who has recently curated the XXII Exhibition of Triennale di Milano.With the exhibition <strong>The Value of Good Design<\/strong>, the MoMA retraces the history of the concept of \u201c<strong>Good Design<\/strong>\u201d from the \u201930s to the \u201950s, the years of mass-market objects, accessible to all.On show, among the objects that made the history of \u201cGood Design\u201d, there are many Italian products. The exhibition is an opportunity to question the value of design today and to reflect on what the values of design in the \u201950s represent for today\u2019s design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooper-Hewitt Museum: designers and immersive installations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cooperhewitt.org\/\">Cooper-Hewitt Museum<\/a> hosts an interactive-educational exhibition dedicated to the designers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scholtenbaijings.com\">Scholten &amp; Baijings<\/a> who, among other things, reinterpreted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ddnblog.it\/en\/2018\/08\/03\/ikea-classics-klippan-poang-reinterpreted-by-scholten-baijings\/\">some Ikea classics<\/a> in 2018. The exhibition, <strong>Scholten &amp; Baijings: Lessons from the Studio<\/strong>, illustrates how the creative process takes place in a studio that designs different furnishing objects. <strong>The exhibition runs until 2 September, 2019<\/strong>.Also at <strong>Cooper-Hewitt<\/strong>, new technologies allow you to transform the spaces. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhewitt.org\/events\/current-exhibitions\/immersion-room\/\">Immersion Room<\/a>, visitors are invited to select a wallpaper and project it onto the walls to see the effect.
