Maison&Objet<\/a>, the most important trade fair dedicated to furniture, lifestyle, interior decoration in Paris, will be back from 6 to 10 September 2019. During five intense days architects and designers will look for novelties and inspirations. The new edition will focus on WORK: the transformation of workplaces into new living spaces.<\/p>\n

New office ideas. What\u2019s changing?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Today\u2019s social and working reality has made employees more independent thanks to the increasingly widespread digitalization that abolishes traditional workstations and, increasingly often, allows people to work at home. Cutting-edge collaborative and participatory tools have also led to the emergence of many co-working spaces.<\/p>\n

Not only the essence of work, but also offices are changing, posing new challenges in the design of workplaces: architects and interior designers are asked to create increasingly comfortable offices, featuring spaces that meet new needs. Interior design makes workspaces increasingly similar to domestic spaces, with rooms dedicated to relaxation and informal meetings as well as closed spaces for private conversations.<\/p>\n

Two out of three architects, interior designers and stylists who visit Maison&Objet<\/a> are already involved in office design projects, a dear issue to French experts: 85% of France\u2019s largest firms prefer co-working and currently assign 41% of their office space to shared work areas.<\/p>\n

In September 2019 Maison&Objet will present new products and a program of workshops, meetings and conferences<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In September it will be possible to discover the best office furnishings on a special 1.000 sq m area featuring a special WORK! trail leading to all the exhibitors present in the other areas of the fair, including \u201cWhat\u2019s New\u201d. A rich program of talks and conferences dedicated to WORK! will give designers and companies the opportunity to exchange views with international and local designers examining exemplary projects, thus enriching the 5-day event.<\/p>\n

The Rising Talent Awards 2019 recognize young US designers<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Maison&Objet\u2019s Rising Talent Awards<\/a> spotlight the best emerging designers from different parts of the world. Previous editions honored designers from the United Kingdom, Italy, Lebanon and China. For this edition a jury of eminent professionals based in the United States \u2013 Rafael de C\u00e1rdenas<\/strong>, Odile Hainaute<\/strong>, Claire Pijoulat<\/strong>, Jerry Helling<\/strong>, Nasir Kassamali<\/strong>, David Rockwell<\/strong>, Rosanne Somerson<\/strong> \u2013 has surveyed American design and selected six designers and firms that have already proved their worth.<\/p>\n
