Milan hosted the last meeting of the Architecture Tour 2019 with Ordine degli Architetti di Milano and an award for the best new graduates from Politecnico di Milano<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first stages of the seminar organized by Ordine degli Architetti di Milano<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

New meeting places in Ahmedabad, a proposal for the redevelopment of a school in Mori (Trento), a project to revitalize the area of the Mincio river: these are the winning projects of the Premio Neolaureati <\/strong>2019<\/strong>, awarded during the ceremony held last December 5th<\/sup>. The winner received a cash prize and the book Leonardo – Il codice sul volo<\/em>. More than eighty master\u2019s theses were selected and four special mentions were assigned.<\/p>\n

Architecture Tour 2019: Milan and Premio Neolaureati, an opportunity for new graduates<\/h3>\n

Premio Neolaureati<\/a><\/strong>, created by Ordine degli Architetti di Milano, wants to put the authors of the best theses from Politecnico di Milano in touch with the professional and cultural realities of design, architecture, urban and landscape planning, and conservation. Projects participate in the competition upon recommendation by the representative delegates of the association in the degree boards of Politecnico.<\/p>\n

Here are the winners of the Premio Neolaureati 2019. The first received a cash prize and the volume Leonardo – Il codice sul volo, published by Istituto Treccani; the second received a cash prize and Leonardo – Disegni e Pitture, published by Istituto Treccani; and the third received a selection of books published by Fondazione OAMi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cWith this initiative, Ordine degli Architetti di Milano wants to affirm the aesthetic, scientific and civil role that the design culture and the quality of architecture can and must play in our society and to award the new talents approaching this profession,\u201d stated architect Paolo Mazzoleni<\/strong>, President of the association.<\/p>\n

Giovanni Gualdrini<\/strong>, author of the thesis \u2018Sewing Ahmedabad\u2019s Wounds – Design experimentation in a context of cultural division\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winning thesis deals with the creation of meeting spaces in the old city of Ahmedabad (India). This project consists in the creation of multipurpose meeting spaces (pavilions) in strategic areas of Daryapur Road where Muslim and Hindu communities coexist. Made using existing spaces and small structures, flexible and respecting the context, the pavilions carry out three main functions: collecting and filtering water, from the infrastructural point of view; supporting the artisanal activities of the two communities with spaces used as workshops; serving the community system with street food areas.<\/p>\n
