For each edition of the competition, hundreds of projects are evaluated and awarded by an international panel of professionals and professors.<\/p>\n

The categories of A’ Design Award & Competition<\/h3>\n

Every year, many awards are given, divided into 100 categories<\/strong>, each of which includes several subcategories. The 100 categories are grouped into six macrocategories, namely Good Industrial Design Award<\/strong>, Good Architecture Design Award<\/strong>, Good Product Design Award<\/strong>, Good Communication Design Award<\/strong>, Good Service Design Award<\/strong>, Good Fashion Design Award<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kurio<\/strong>, designed by Markus Hofko<\/strong>, is a shelving system made of wood and aluminum modules that can take on endless configurations, awarded in the Furniture, Decorative items and Homeware design<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n

Over 200 professional experts, selected from among university professors, heads of research departments, <\/strong>experienced journalists, architects <\/strong>and designers, make up the jury of the competition<\/strong>. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, winners are invited to the gala dinner during the award ceremony.<\/p>\n

In the Furniture, Decorative items and Homeware design <\/strong>category<\/strong>, the Vello Bar Cart<\/strong><\/a>, designed by Fabricio Roncca, is a bar cart in wood and tubular metal, whose top is covered in faux leather. Its basic and minimal design is perfect for any interior design style.<\/p>\n

Shell, by Natalia Komarova, is an extremely light sofa in tubular metal, for both public and private spaces. Awarded in the Furniture, Decorative items and Homeware design<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n

Miguel Arruda<\/strong> designed Cork Trunk<\/strong><\/a>, a stool-bench made of recycled cork and polyurethane, a material produced by Amorim<\/strong>, a Portuguese company specializing in the manufacturing of cork. The agglomerate of cork and polyurethane creates a stable material that can be easily handled. Both materials are recycled, for environmental protection. Awarded in the Furniture, Decorative items and Homeware design<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n

A’ Design Award Good Architecture Design Award<\/h3>\n

Awarded in the categories of the Good Architecture Design Award<\/strong>, the Nascimento Chapel<\/a>, designed by Miguel Pinto Guimar\u00e3es<\/strong>, is a building in <\/strong>Rio de Janeiro, where nature and architecture integrate in a contemplative space.<\/p>\n

Again in the Good Architecture Design Award<\/strong> category, Casa Ojal\u00e1<\/strong>, a flexible and sustainable house designed by Beatrice Bonzanigo. Each space can be transformed thanks to sliding walls in Wood-Skin and fabric. Casa Ojal\u00e1 is also equipped with a septic tank and a rainwater harvesting system. It can also be equipped with a solar energy system. Casa Ojal\u00e1<\/a> was presented at Milan Design Week 2019.<\/p>\n

In the A\u2019 Toy, Games and Hobby Products Design Award<\/strong> category, the toy for young children designed by Nishit Gupta<\/strong> was awarded. With Fastener Block<\/a>, kids can keep building new characters and imagine new stories.<\/p>\n

A bottle of water as charming as a champagne bottle was awarded in the Packaging Design<\/strong> category. Designed by Juha-Jaakko Niemela, Virpi Ali-Haapala, Minna Ali-Haapala, Iida Nylander and Satu Aalto for Finnish water Finn Spring<\/a>, it is made of PET and has a precious label.
