Featuring 12,000 sq m exhibition, 42 companies, 50 talks with 160 speakers, the events scored a record number of 800,000 visitors. At the <strong><a href=\"\/?p=105102\">Fuorisalone<\/a><\/strong> <strong>2020<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\/?p=105102\">DDN HUB<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0presents another original vision of architecture and design, involving designers and architects, institutions, opinion leaders and companies. All participants are invited to use their creativity<strong> to envision the city of the future \u2013 sustainable, dynamic and smart \u2013 through immersive paths and experiential installations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Pursuing a balance between technology and sustainability, the protagonists will explore the <strong>different sides of circular economy<\/strong>. The fields of design, architecture, food, wellness and entertainment will offer various interpretations of this theme. <strong>Also this year, the installations will be located between Piazza Castello and Via Beltrami, in the city center, from 16 to 21 June, during the Milan Design Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During six days, <strong>DDN HUB<\/strong> will offer a palimpsest brimming with events, performances, talks and round tables, attended by internationally-renowned figures from the world of architecture and design who will deal with a wide range of topics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discover also <a href=\"\/?page_id=106259\">DDN Phutura<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-141276\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/ddn-hub-ghigos-Collage-piazza.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"886\" height=\"500\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3>Women in design<\/h3>\n<p>Among the several themes, \u201c<strong>women in design<\/strong>\u201d will be particularly interesting. In line with the cultural programme of the City of Milan for 2020, <strong>Cristina Morozzi will explore the female approach to creative work<\/strong>, through the work of Italy\u2019s most important female designers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DDN HUB<\/strong> will also offer the chance to present \u201c<strong>La storia del Fuorisalone. <\/strong><strong>Eventi temporanei, che hanno generato effetti duraturi<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cThe history of the Fuorisalone. Temporary events with long-lasting effects\u201d), the first book about the history of the Milan Design Week, the unique lifestyle event that has been a worldwide reference for the design community for almost 40 years. <strong>Written by Roberta Mutti and published by <\/strong><strong><a href=\"\/?page_id=88146\">DDW Design Diffusion World<\/a><\/strong><strong>, the book retraces the history of the Fuorisalone, from its origins to the present day<\/strong>, thanks to interviews with personalities who, over the years, have played a fundamental role in the creation of this \u201cphenomenon\u201d \u2013 from Gisella Borioli to Giulio Cappellini, from Roberto Gavazzi to Francesco Morace, from Claudio Luti to Cristina Tajani.<\/p>\n<h3>The installations of DDN HUB<\/h3>\n<p>A symbolic gateway to the sustainable city of the future is \u201c<strong>La Fenice<\/strong>\u201d, the <strong>600 sq m reflective greenhouse by Privitera<\/strong>. This space evokes the colors, lights and shapes of Mother Earth, and contains light installations. Green materials, unexpected solutions and unique floral arrangements reflect energy and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Next to it, <strong>CrippaConcept celebrates leisure time and holidays<\/strong> with its innovative concepts for <strong>glamping<\/strong>, the eco-friendly and innovative \u201cglamorous camping.\u201d Crippa Concept\u2019s mobile homes and lodge tents, integrated into an urban context, will show how temporary living solutions for holidays and life in the open air can be set up, respecting nature and the environment. <strong>In addition to the reception, relaxation and wellness areas, the \u201cPolvere di Pixel\u201d entertainment area by Ghigos + Yelab <\/strong>completes this urban ecosystem with a new technological material that \u201canalogically\u201d transforms any movement into an 8-bit musical effect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hettich<\/strong> presents living solutions that emphasize the <strong>importance of details in bespoke design<\/strong>. Thanks to the company\u2019s substantial investment in research, Hettich\u2019s technological solutions raise quality and functionality standards.<\/p>\n<p>The installation \u201c<strong>Da padre in figlio<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cFrom father to son\u201d) deserves special attention. It is a <strong>project by Giuseppe Terragni<\/strong> rebuilt by <strong>Repubblica del Design<\/strong> (Ghigos + Over the Rainbow + Alberto Zanchetta) thanks to <strong>Comune di Lissone<\/strong> and <strong>Confartigianato di Monza e Brianza<\/strong>. A fragment of the exhibition system designed by the famous architect in 1940 is back to stimulate the creativity of new generations.<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-141256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/ddn-hub-terragni.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"886\" height=\"619\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3>Outdoor design according to DDN HUB<\/h3>\n<p>\u201c<strong>La terrazza meravigliosa<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cThe wonderful terrace\u201d), the new concept by architect Fabio Rotella, presents a human-centered vision of the world. Several hexagonal platforms, each illustrating different aspects of everyday life \u2013 sharing, working, relaxing \u2013, form a 150 sq m terrace presenting a new idea of wellbeing.<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-141258\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/ddn-hub-terrazza-rotella.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"886\" height=\"448\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3>Food and circular economy at DDN HUB<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Circular economy and sustainability could not neglect the world of food<\/strong>. Siemens Elettrodomestici will be the soul of the \u201ccircular restaurant\u201d, with products from the top-of-the-range StudioLine brand, and a Cosentino kitchen work table. In this area, Michelin-starred chef Filippo Saporito, President of JRE Italia, will coordinate experts and chefs for talks and cooking demonstrations whose theme will be \u201ccircular cooking\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <strong>DDN HUB represents also one of the glamorous sides of the Milan Design Week.
