Five years later, it was time to revamp its image with a new interior design project. <a href=\"\/?p=128876\">Cristina Celestino<\/a>, architect and designer, designed the new interiors, preserving the same convivial spirit of the origins.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-141312 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/28-posti-5.jpg\" alt=\"ristorante-28-posti-milano.jpg\" width=\"886\" height=\"591\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This <strong>small restaurant by the Navigli channels, with only 28 seats<\/strong>, relies on materials, textures and colors to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Its <strong>colors are inspired by nature<\/strong> and the chosen materials are natural as well. <strong>Wood, terracotta, natural waxed iron<\/strong> establish a balanced dialogue with the desaturated blue, earthy wine and white walls.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_141305\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-141305\" style=\"width: 591px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-141304 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/28-posti-1.jpg\" alt=\"ristorante-28-posti-milano.jpg\" width=\"591\" height=\"886\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-141305\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Storage cabinet<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On the ceiling original and restored wooden beams alternate with areas painted in desaturated light blue. <strong>Terracotta panels by Fornace Brioni<\/strong> partially cover the walls, while <strong>raw earth plaster by Matteo Brioni<\/strong> reaches the ceiling. In the middle of the restaurant, the main star is the original brick partition of the pre-existing building. Finally, also the wall that separates <strong>chef Marco Ambrosini<\/strong>\u2019s kitchen is in natural plaster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discover also <a href=\"\/?p=128876\">Palazzo Experimental in Venice, Dorsoduro<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-141310 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/28-posti-4.jpg\" alt=\"ristorante-28-posti-cristina-celestino.jpg\" width=\"591\" height=\"886\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A storage cabinet, placed under the arch designed by the central partition, has a front in terracotta micro-mosaic, and harmonizes with the curved sheets that enclose it, and with the other materials. <strong>The furniture is completed by an upholstered bench, bespoke tables and Fratina chairs by Billiani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_141307\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-141307\" style=\"width: 590px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-141306 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/28-posti-2.jpg\" alt=\"ristorante-28-posti-cristina-celestino.jpg\" width=\"590\" height=\"886\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-141307\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bespoke tables, Fratina chairs, by Billiani<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <strong>28 Posti restaurant<\/strong> is illuminated by <strong>Tempo Andante ceiling lamps, created by artist Arturo Alvarez<\/strong> with micro-perforated sheet metal. Apparently as light as paper, seen up close, these lamps reveal accurate workmanship. In short, Cristina Celestino has managed to preserve the informal and convivial atmosphere of the origins, thanks to a wise use of materials and colors.
