As is the case with many areas of China, the country where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studiomarcopiva.com\/V1.1\/\">Studio Marco Piva<\/a> has an office already fully operational after the compulsory stop.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_143153\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-143153\" style=\"width: 984px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-143152 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shanghai-branch.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"656\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-143153\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marco Piva, Daniela Baldo, Sida Chen from Si Mai Pu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Smart working and remote working across two continents<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cStudio Marco Piva, however, has never stopped working, either in Milan or in Shanghai<\/strong>; the office has always been operational and all collaborators kept working remotely from home. Even at home, in Milan, we have been experiencing a sort of \u201csmart working and smart living\u201d situation, characterized by parents\u2019 conference calls, distance learning for children, spare time and domestic activities scheduled by precise timetables to preserve a routine among the different activities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_143157\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-143157\" style=\"width: 984px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-143156 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/studio_marco_piva_vuoto.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"738\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-143157\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Studio Marco Piva, Milan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>In this period, we have found that remote working, for some functions, is doubtlessly more flexible<\/strong>. Therefore, our office in Shanghai, Si Mai Pu, is fully operational and is working on our projects. At present we are planning our presence at the Guangzhou Design Week in December and I hope to take part in the Shanghai Design Week in November, at the latest. Until the health emergency I used to go to China once a month.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_143149\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-143149\" style=\"width: 787px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-143148 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Lamborghini-Towers_Front_Night-Time.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"787\" height=\"984\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-143149\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lamborghini Towers, a project by Si Mai Pu, Chengdu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In this period, our projects in China are starting to progress again. One of them is Villa Forte, in the area of Shanghai Garden Plaza South. This villa, within a complex including five villas, is a project that combines Italian architecture and Chinese tradition. Materials and technologies are sustainable, for an architecture that is beautiful and functional at once. Built volumes and open spaces are deeply connected thanks to the combination of composite and natural materials.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_143159\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-143159\" style=\"width: 984px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-143158 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Villa-Forte-Shanghai.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"677\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-143159\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Villa Forte, Shanghai<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Another project realized under the banner of made in Italy is the Tonino Lamborghini Hotel, in the heart of Chengdu. SI Mai Pu designed the two Lamborghini Towers and the interior \u2013 apartments and communal spaces \u2013 skillfully mixing Chinese tradition and Italian design culture. A tribute to two cultures that have long-standing traditions, with a functional and emotional result.
