Ph: Hiroki Tagma<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Veneto-based company <strong>Marsotto<\/strong> has taken advantage of <a href=\"\/?p=146509\">Milano Design City<\/a> to open a new showroom in Milan. Located on Largo Treves, in the heart of the Brera district, the entrance of the showroom is on ground level, where there is also a small technical area, while the basement hosts a large display area. <strong>Designed by Japanese studio Nendo, this space is entirely dedicated to marble, as<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marsotto.com\">Marsotto<\/a><\/strong><strong> is among Italy\u2019s leading companies in this sector<\/strong>. Marble immediately appears at the entrance, where a double perforated wall leads to the staircase leading to the lower floor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_147596\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-147596\" style=\"width: 984px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-147596 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Marsotto_Milano-dettaglio_parete_Ph-Hiroki-Tagma_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"656\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-147596\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Detail of the double wall at the entrance. The typical vaults on the basement ceiling provide the perfect setting for the small \u201cstages\u201d housing the objects designed by various international designers. On this floor, everything is made of marble: in addition to the objects, also the platforms on which they rest are in marble.<\/p>\n<p>A room inspired by a hammam accommodates marble samples, which come out of the walls like small tiles and can be freely extracted. Ph: Hiroki Tagma<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>The thousand faces of marble<\/h3>\n<p>The showroom continues with a reception area, where a large kitchen with folding marble doors offers other possibilities to see the different uses of the same material, while serving as a real kitchen, for business meetings and breaks.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_147582\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-147582\" style=\"width: 554px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-147582 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/marsotto_ingresso.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"554\" height=\"984\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-147582\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Staircase connecting the two floors of the showroom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The pieces on show \u2013 furnishings and artworks \u2013 belong to Marsotto, Marsotto Edizioni, and Marsotto Art collections. Perhaps also for this reason the atmosphere of the space is more reminiscent of an art gallery than a furniture showroom.
