Women and contemporary architecture, the British example: an online conference promoted by the Chamber of Architects of the Province of Milan <\/strong><\/h2>\n

After the first cycle of conferences about the Swiss and the Finnish example, the Foundation of the Chamber of Architects of the Province of Milan<\/strong> goes on with its series dedicated to the role of women in contemporary architecture, curated by<\/strong> Arianna Callocchia<\/strong>. The webinar belongs to the program of cultural activities promoted by the Foundation of the <\/strong>Chamber of Architects of the Province of Milan<\/strong> which includes evenings of debate, architectural itineraries, publications, awards, exhibitions. The Contribution of Women in Contemporary Architecture: The British Example<\/strong> will take place on Thursday, February 4, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As we have said, The Contribution of Women in Contemporary Architecture: The British Example<\/strong> will be held on February 4. During the evening, the architects will illustrate the works that they have recently completed in the United Kingdom. It will be an opportunity to present their approach and their design philosophy in contemporary architecture as to environmental sustainability, the social sphere, technological innovation, building redevelopment, the relationship with the historical, cultural and urban context in which we live.<\/p>\n

Women in contemporary British architecture: Alison Brooks and Angela Brady<\/h3>\n

After the keynote speech by Leonardo Cavalli<\/strong>,<\/strong> President of the Foundation of the Chamber of Architects of the Province of Milan, and Jill Morris<\/strong>, British Ambassador to Italy and San Marino, the conference will go on with speeches by Alison Brooks<\/strong><\/a>, and Angela Brady from London-based practice <\/strong>Brady Mallalieu<\/a><\/strong>. <\/strong>Alison Brooks <\/strong>will illustrate some projects placed in historical contexts, selected for their ability to establish a dialogue between past and present. Angela Brady <\/strong>will present some projects of social and sustainable architecture. The webinar will be moderated by architect Rossella Ferorelli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference forms part of \u201cI talenti delle donne<\/strong>\u201d, a series of events organized in Milan, and is promoted by the Chamber of Architects of the Province of Milan<\/strong>, the Italian Council of Architects<\/strong>, the British Embassy<\/strong><\/a>, British association Women in Architecture UK<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The initiative is organized with the support of B&B Distribuzione<\/a><\/strong>, an Italian company specializing in the distribution of furnishing fabrics, wallpaper and accessories, and Trend Group<\/a><\/strong>, manufacturer of mosaic tiles and stones.<\/p>\n
