At first, it was a rendering on Instagram, which went viral in no time. People saw it and asked for it even though the armchair didn\u2019t exist yet. So <strong>Andr\u00e9s Reisinger, the designer<\/strong>, started to think of a way of making it and called <strong>J\u00falia Esqu\u00e9, fabric designer<\/strong>. Together, the two designers made this project real, coming up with a comfortable and enveloping armchair, with a surprising visual effect, thanks to the embrace of 30,000 petals of soft silk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-154390 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Hortensia-Amsterdam-2021-02.jpg\" alt=\"poltrona-hortensia-moooi.jpg\" width=\"666\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At that point, it became necessary to search for a partner for industrial production: Moooi. Both for the Dutch tradition in the cultivation of flowers and for its expertise in industrial production, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/moooi.com\">Moooi<\/a><\/strong> <strong>proved to be the right partner to produce the armchair<\/strong>, which was presented in April. The journey to the current product took about two years of work, perhaps also because of the forced break due to Covid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-154394 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Hortensia-Amsterdam-2021-01.jpg\" alt=\"poltrona-hortensia-moooi.jpg\" width=\"666\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Today, <strong>Hortensia by Moooi is an armchair covered with over 30,000 laser-cut petals<\/strong> available in two colors, <strong>Petal Pink and Petal Grey<\/strong>. In the designers&#8217; intentions, the armchair is suitable for both domestic and contract spaces such as hotel lobbies and restaurants. Currently, it is available in Petal fabric, designed by J\u00falia Esqu\u00e9 specifically for this armchair whose shape was designed by Andr\u00e9s Reisinger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discover the new<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/en\/2021\/02\/19\/the-new-hood-armchair-by-zanette\/\">Hood armchair<\/a><\/strong><strong> by Zanette<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-154396 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Hortensia-Armchair-Pink08.jpg\" alt=\"poltrona-hortensia-moooi.jpg\" width=\"714\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the future, the Hortensia armchair will be available in all fabrics from the Moooi collection.
