The British Council\u2019s commission for the British Pavilion, The Garden of Privatised Delights, explores how we inhabit and share our environment (\u2026). Madeleine Kessler and Manijeh Verghese demonstrate how great design can improve the inclusivity, accessibility and understanding needed to achieve that,\u201d said <strong>Sevra Davis,<\/strong> Director of Architecture Design and Fashion del British Council and commissioner of the British Pavilion 2021.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_154667\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-154667\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-154667\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Image-27-Play-Without-Grounds.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-154667\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Play With(out) Grounds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>The British Pavilion: the exhibition path<\/h3>\n<p>The playful and provocative exhibition path features simulations of seven privatised public spaces, inviting visitors to consider how the design of public space can be improved to benefit the community. The events of the past year have further highlighted the importance of accessible public space. This has inspired us and our amazing team of collaborators to test collaborative processes and design strategies, in order to propose ways in which public space can become more inclusive.
