The new Caff\u00e8 Triennale is even cozier and more sustainable, with plants and coffee from social projects<\/h2>\n

Luca Cipelletti, the architect entrusted with the architectural direction of the Palazzo dell’Arte and the enhancement of Giovanni Muzio’s building<\/strong>, has restyled the Caff\u00e8 Triennale, at<\/strong> Triennale Milano<\/a><\/strong>. The new project is based on sustainability and energy efficiency, and includes the presence of plants, which take center stage in the interiors.<\/p>\n

The project has freed up the central space of the caf\u00e9 to make even wider views of Parco Sempione. This space will host a series of temporary installations of various kinds. The two niches at the side of the entrance steps to the hall have also been opened, with transparent partitions, to further emphasize the perspective from the atrium.<\/p>\n

Plants and light for the Caff\u00e8 Triennale, which helps the environment<\/h3>\n

Artemide has taken part in the refurbishment with the lighting design<\/strong>. In the Caf\u00e9 there are the modular lamps by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) Alphabet of Light, which emphasize with a graphic sign of light the ribbing of the original structural project by engineer O. Hoffman (structural designer of the Palazzo dell’Arte, 1933).<\/p>\n

Gople lamps, also by BIG for Artemide, in hand-blown glass, are distributed along the perimeter of the room and, thanks to patented RWB colored light technology, foster the growth of plants<\/strong>. In fact, an important component of the new project is the presence of plants from Pistoia\u2019s Vanucci Piante nurseries, which help improve air quality.<\/p>\n

The new bar counter is by Lavazza, with graphic design by Raikhan Musrepova. The tables are by Giulio Iacchetti and the chairs are by Molteni & C.<\/p>\n

A key element of the new project is the exhibition space above the steps, right at the entrance of the caf\u00e9, which will host several installations; the first is a work from the Grandi Legni series by Andrea Branzi.<\/p>\n

Coffee is sustainable too<\/h3>\n

Another important element of the new project is the collaboration with Lavazza, institutional partner. The caf\u00e9 is a member of the Lavazza Coffee Defenders community<\/strong>, which promotes a culture of sustainable coffee. Each blend of the “La Reserva de Tierra” line, served at Caff\u00e8 Triennale, contains coffee coming from territories and communities involved in social responsibility projects.
