The Catalan designer, named Designer of the Year at Maison &amp; Objet 2016, will oversee product development for Sutherland.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_166825\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-166825\" style=\"width: 749px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-166825 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Eugeni-Quitllet-Nacho-Alegre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"749\" height=\"1000\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-166825\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eugeni Quitllet<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Blessed with an interesting vision for furniture design, Quitllet is the creative force behind the development of iconic pieces such as Philippe Starck&#8217;s Masters Chair for Kartell and Vondom&#8217;s Love Series. Philippe Starck&#8217;s Robinwood collection for Sutherland in 2009 was a big hit; there, too, Eugeni was integral to its success. Throughout his career, Eugeni has also collaborated on widely acclaimed products with brands such as Roche Bobois, Christofle, Foscarini, Driade, and Dedon.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_166827\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-166827\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-166827 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/franck-collection-sutherland.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"742\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-166827\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Franck collection, by Vincent Van Duysen for Sutherland<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Quitllet&#8217;s first creation for Sutherland is the Monaco chair, currently in production<\/strong>, whose launch is scheduled for spring-summer 2023. <strong>Monaco is made of ocean plastic and Sutherland&#8217;s teak<\/strong>.
