Gentilhomme Studio<\/a> has designed a series of digital installations for Orlando International Airport\u2019s Terminal C, which opened recently<\/strong>. The works, made with advanced CGI (computer-generated imagery) and 3D motion tracking technology that renders imagery in real time, are a tribute to Orlando and Florida.<\/p>\n

Orlando International Airport changes its face<\/h3>\n

Gentilhomme Studio’s installations at the Orlando Airport provide inspiring and immersive digital art moments; an unforgettable memory for both arriving and departing travelers. The interactive works reproduce familiar Orlando locations and significant events that occurred in Florida<\/strong>. These include the Crystal River, known for its crystal-clear waters and the presence of manatees, and the launch of the SpaceX rocket, commissioned by the U.S. Space Force and Kennedy Space Center, back on mission after 3 years.<\/p>\n

The interactive installations by Gentilhomme Studio<\/h3>\n

The Moment Vault is located at the center of the Palm Court, the primary public gathering space at<\/strong> Terminal C<\/strong>. This installation is composed of 3 walls equipped with interactive LED panels that reproduce images of nature on the outside, and scenes of Mars or wildlife in the Crystal River on the inside. The digital reality reproduced on the LED panels is enriched with the movements of visitors walking past the screens. In fact, the LED panels are able to track up to 30 full body users\u2019 movements and reproduce them in real time on the large screens.<\/p>\n

\"Gentilhomme<\/p>\n

The second work designed by <\/strong>Gentilhomme Studio <\/strong>for the <\/strong>Orlando International Airport is called<\/strong> Windows on Orlando<\/strong>. It consists of triptych of 32-foot-high (nearly 10 meters) screens blending seamlessly with the building. The screens, spanning 114 feet (35 meters), give the illusion of three windows that open up onto mesmerizing scenes that celebrate Orlando.<\/p>\n

The last installation, Portal, is scheduled to launch in 2023. It will take the form of a helical structure covered with 32 high-resolution screens that unfold 360 degrees across four floors.<\/p>\n

Thibaut Duverneix, Founder and CEO of Gentilhomme, explains: “The arrival and departure from an airport is the first and last impression you have of the city you are visiting. Our role was therefore to define the identity and history of each of the works in order to create unforgettable emblems, thus defining the airport’s identity.”<\/p>\n
