{"id":26997,"date":"2022-12-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/2022\/12\/07\/bloop-international-proactive-art-festival-in-mexico\/"},"modified":"2023-07-25T12:10:26","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T10:10:26","slug":"bloop-international-proactive-art-festival-in-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/en\/2022\/12\/07\/bloop-international-proactive-art-festival-in-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"Bloop International Proactive Art Festival in Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Milan-based creative studio Biokip Labs created exhibitions and installations during the &#8220;d<\/strong><strong>\u00ed<\/strong><strong>a de los muertos&#8221; holiday in Morelia, Mexico<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>From October 29 to November 3, 2022, Morelia, Mexico, hosted the first pop-up edition of the <\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloop-festival.com\">Bloop International Proactive Art Festival<\/a><\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>The festival was created to offer art to the general public during popular festivals; the initiative of the Milan-based creative laboratory Biokip Labs has already been featured in popular festivals in Ibiza, while in Milan Biokip Labs created an intervention with three murals, &#8220;AMA&#8221;, on Via del Turchino, in the Calvairate area.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_168899\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168899\" style=\"width: 1500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-168899 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/BLOOP-MX-22-ph-Santiago-Fraga-3.jpg\" alt=\"Bloop International Art Festival Messico\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-168899\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bloop International Proactive Art Festival, Mexico, 2022, ph: Santiago Fraga<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In Morelia, Michoac\u00e1n, Mexico, the Bloop International Proactive Art Festival interpreted the spirit of the &#8220;D\u00eda de los muertos&#8221; with several initiatives.<strong> The open-air exhibition titled &#8220;The Alter&#8221; used art as a communicative bridge between the past, memories and the future; a flight of Cantoya lanterns celebrated the remembrance of the dead to the accompaniment of Mariachi music.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_168895\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168895\" style=\"width: 1500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-168895 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/BLOOP-FESTIVAL-MX-22-2.jpg\" alt=\"Bloop International Art Festival Messico\" width=\"1500\" height=\"999\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-168895\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bloop International Proactive Art Festival in Messico, 2022, ph: Santiago Fraga<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Art in the open air with the <\/strong>Bloop International Proactive Art Festival<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Among the festival&#8217;s various events, Said Dokins, internationally renowned calligrapher and one of the most influential Mexican artist according to Forbes, created plays of light and shadow with works made with stencils. Amadama<\/strong>, an artist known for his latest work, UNKNOWN, in Sardinia,<strong> created suspended tissue paper works<\/strong>. The streamers, perforated by hand using the ancient craft technique of <em>papel picado<\/em>, enlivened the streets with a colorful paper roof. Lastly, SPAIK is the author of Viaje al inframundo, a work representing the mystical journey of the dead to the underworld.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Discover the<\/strong><strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/en\/2022\/01\/19\/the-first-edition-of-the-milano-graphic-festival\/\">Milano Graphic Festival<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_168893\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168893\" style=\"width: 1500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-168893 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Amadama-BLOOP-FESTIVAL-MX-22-8.jpg\" alt=\"Bloop International Art Festival Messico\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-168893\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Papel picado, by Amadama<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Milan-based creative studio Biokip Labs has been collaborating for years with numerous world-class artists; for eleven years, it has been animating a festival that has changed the face of Ibiza, the &#8220;Isla blanca\u201d. The festival was inspired by the &#8220;art is for everyone\u201d motto, and Biokip Labs continues to maintain this philosophy after 11 years. Admission to the festivals is free to engage children and adults in a world of art and technology.
