For the 2023 edition, <\/strong>Salone del Mobile.Milano <\/strong>has a new exhibition layout on a single floor, with a new Euroluce and new content<\/h2>\n

For the next edition, April 18-23, 2023, the <\/strong>Salone del Mobile.Milano<\/a><\/strong> will boast a revamped exhibition format, starting with Euroluce<\/strong>. The event dedicated to light, in the pavilions 9-11 and 13-15, will feature a completely redesigned itinerary by Lombardini22 studio<\/strong>. Inspired by Italy\u2019s historic city centers, the new exhibition route creates a ring-shaped path with a fluid and free geometric shape.<\/p>\n

This new exhibition format is packed with interdisciplinary cultural content curated by Beppe Finessi, ranging from architecture to art<\/strong> (exhibitions, talks, workshops, installations). The main curator will work with numerous young curators and special guests, including leading contemporary artists. Formafantasma will play a pivotal role<\/strong>, turning Euroluce into an ideal city inside the new layout; the studio will design public spaces and special cameos, in a foretaste of the possible future evolution of the trade fair format itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to teamwork, Euroluce will be transformed into a great visitor experience<\/strong>, with opportunities to find about and actually touch extremely high-quality products and to learn more about themes connected with the lighting world through a top-level cultural offering geared to buyers, professionals and the design community as a whole,\u201d said Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A new, single-floor exhibition route with the SaloneSatellite at the center of Euroluce<\/h3>\n

This approach has extended from Euroluce to the trade fair as a whole, involving rethinking the format from an innovative and contemporary perspective and coming up with effective solutions to counter the challenges the trade fair scene is facing. After listening carefully to all the exhibiting companies<\/strong>, the Salone<\/a><\/strong> will be making new support and visibility tools available through the Salone digital platform and the online services connected to it. Moreover, in-depth research has been carried out, involving more than 2,300 field interviews with visitors from all over the world, in a bid to ascertain how to improve the trade fair experience and its accessibility.<\/p>\n

As a result of these studies and reflections, it was determined that the upcoming edition of the Salone will be held on a single level at the fairgrounds<\/strong>, optimizing the visitor experience.<\/p>\n

Lastly, SaloneSatellite will be in a new location inside the Euroluce pavilions<\/strong>. The 2023 edition will devote special attention to Design Schools and Universities with the theme \u201cDesign School: Building the (im)possible. Process, Progress, Practice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reuse and recycling, regeneration and sustainability at the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023<\/h3>\n

The Salone del Mobile.Milano has committed to the United Nations Global Compact<\/strong>, the world’s most important initiative for corporate sustainability. As a result, the event will follow the Green Guidelines<\/strong> for planning and setting up trade fair installations in line with the ISO 20121 certification for sustainable events management.<\/p>\n

The fair will focus on the efficient use of resources, waste reduction, and protection of the human rights, health and safety of those taking part in the event and of workers involved in its organization.<\/p>\n

\"SaloneA completely green event<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The event will rely on suppliers of recycled, recyclable, or reusable materials<\/strong> for the construction of the common areas, so as to act on the regeneration of consumed resources and the absorption of generated waste. This year, exhibiting companies will also follow the guidelines of the Global Compact for an entirely green trade show<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the creation of the installations, for example, the fair suggests that circular solutions for the structure and materials<\/strong>, capable of cutting waste and optimizing energy, transport and storage, should be identified in the design stage. It also invites companies to cut down on packaging or employ reused or reusable packaging; and, finally, to select materials on the basis of source distance, with logistical sustainability in mind.<\/p>\n

Sustainable materials<\/h3>\n

With regard to stand building materials, Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023 invites companies to choose either recycled wood and cardboard products <\/strong>or products from sustainably managed forests with FSC or PEFC certification. The use of non-reusable materials often destined for disposal should be limited while opting for reusable pallets that have been repaired or sourced through exchange schemes. Companies should also opt for water-based paints, ecolabel products and ecological detergents free of toxic components.<\/p>\n

\"\"Social safety and sustainability<\/h3>\n

With regard to social safety and sustainability<\/strong>, the companies have been invited to adopt measures, products and equipment that guarantee safe installation procedures for the staff involved and solutions that are suitable to accommodate people with disabilities as well.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors have also been invited to prioritize suppliers that have implemented sustainable management service systems conforming to ISO 20121 legislation and to ask suppliers to provide the characteristics and traceability of their products, in line with the Minimum Environmental Criteria <\/strong>(CAM) published by the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition as regards purchasing materials from suppliers<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
