This year\u2019s January edition of the <\/b>Maison et Objet 2023<\/b><\/a> exhibited enticing, creative and innovative design projects from around the globe.<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme focused on <\/span>the importance of taking care of our environment and creating harmony within the home, with ourselves and with the environment<\/b>. Designers from <\/span>all over the world <\/b>showcased designs <\/span>reflecting the shift towards conscious consumerism<\/b> to inspire wellness while celebrating comfort, practicality, longevity, and originality.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were 313 Italian designers exhibiting at this year\u2019s show.<\/b> For centuries, the European nation has been a <\/span>hub for art, culture and design <\/b>that celebrates and infuses\u200c more than any other country, its <\/span>heritage and innovation<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, we\u2019re sharing the<\/span> top 10 Italian interior designers <\/b>that were featured in January\u2019s edition of the show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Novita\u2019 Home<\/span><\/h2>\n

Revealing a new line of home accessories at this year\u2019s show, <\/span>Novita\u2019 Home<\/b><\/a> made a splash when it exhibited its Linea Mediterraneo<\/b>, a collection of tableware featuring unique colours and shapes inspired by summer. The stunning selection of Mediterraneo plates is available in white, turquoise, blue, orange, yellow, red, green, grey, and purple, <\/span>providing any table with a touch of elegance and the feel of Italy.<\/b><\/p>\n

Seletti\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Another highlight of this year\u2019s show was <\/span>Seletti<\/b><\/a>,<\/b> which was established in 1964 in the Mantova region of Italy. The brand has always <\/span>pursued its mission of embracing innovation and originality<\/b> to create unique designs, art de la table, furniture, lighting, and decorations. This designer focuses on projects that <\/span>characterize Italian excellence<\/b>, reflecting their commitment to professionalism, service, and project research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luisa Longo<\/span><\/h2>\n

Design artist <\/span>Luisa Longo<\/b><\/a> was another of the Italian highlights at this year\u2019s Maison et Objet. Her original hand-painted designs are reproduced on silky polyester for a range of homeware including tablecloths, linen, plates, and trays. The <\/span>unique handmade designs are all made in Italy and reflect the theme of this year\u2019s show<\/b> to give a harmonious feel to any room.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ethimo<\/span><\/h2>\n

Italian company <\/b>Ethimo<\/b><\/a> specializes in high-quality outdoor furnishings and decorations.<\/b> Inspired by the Mediterranean and the humble, authentic vibe it embodies,<\/span> Ethimo\u2019s contemporary and comfortable design collections reflect the connection between people, homes and the environment.<\/b><\/p>\n

This year Ethimo exhibited its new Yacht collection designed by Christophe Pillet, which focuses on the <\/span>harmonious connection between aesthetics and functionality <\/b>through using fabric, generous proportions and quality materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

Mogg<\/span><\/h2>\n

Mogg<\/b><\/a> is an Italian design company born from the desire of founder Nicola Galbiati, who has years of experience in the furniture and design world. <\/span>Mogg combines expertise with innovation to create unique pieces that stand out in the home<\/b>. One design which stood out at this year\u2019s show was <\/span>Metrica<\/b>, a metal bookcase featuring transparent crystal shelves in bronze or green. The simple structure creates a rhythm through a structure consisting of different intervals on which books and objects can be placed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Park Avenue<\/span><\/h2>\n

Park Avenue <\/b><\/a>was another highlight at this year\u2019s show and combines influences from New York\u2019s roaring 20s Art Deco style with Florentine tradition.<\/b> The resulting designs reflect the skills of <\/span>traditional artisan methods and contemporary lifestyles<\/b>. Combining the excellence of Tuscan craftsmanship with inspiration from one of New York\u2019s greatest artistic eras of expression, Park Avenue\u2019s designs bring a sense of prestige to home environments while generating a sense of harmony in the home.<\/span>

Karpeta<\/span><\/h2>\n

Karpeta<\/b><\/a> turned heads with its exhibit at 2023\u2019s Maison et Objet event.<\/b> Their work reflects the synthesis of ancient weaving techniques and tradition and contemporary design for modern living.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series of rugs combine the craft of tradition with the aesthetics of the 21st century to create unique pieces with quality natural fibers. In line with this year\u2019s theme, <\/span>Karpeta embodies a blend of technology, artisanal methods and sustainable design<\/b> to reflect harmony between the environment and the home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their innovative approach reflects a combination of their mindset, infused with influences of Italian craftsmanship, and the desire to think outside the box. Combining new concepts, memories, and feelings that pervade the spaces in our environments, <\/span>Texturae creates evocative designs that fit harmoniously into the home <\/b>to change our everyday experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gervasoni<\/span><\/h2>\n

Italian design company <\/b>Gervasoni<\/b><\/a> produces quality indoor and outdoor furniture for residential environments and contract markets, including hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships.<\/b><\/p>\n

As a family business, Gervasoni focused on designing pieces to fit into a world that is informal, elegant, and contemporary at the same time. The firm is continuously seeking to find the creative potential of industrial and natural materials with years of artisan craftsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n

Davide Medri Design<\/span><\/h2>\n
