The 40th edition of Cersaie was attended by nearly 100,000 visitors (99,319, +8.8%), including over 47,000 international visitors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"Cersaie2023\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The 40th edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, held at BolognaFiere<\/a> last September 25-29, fully lived up to the expectations of the companies that chose to invest in the fair to create a unique international showcase. Exhibiting companies presented their latest product innovations in visually captivating and emotionally engaging booths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 633 companies participated, occupying an exhibition space of 145,000 square meters divided into fifteen fully booked halls of the Bologna exhibition center.<\/strong> These exhibitors included 354 companies from the ceramic tile sector, 96 from the bathroom furniture sector, and 183 from the installation, raw materials, new surfaces and services sectors.<\/strong>. The international nature of the show was confirmed by the presence of 245 non-Italian exhibitors<\/strong> (39% of the total) coming from 27 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cersaie 2023: the numbers of success<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cersaie 2023 welcomed 99,319 visitors over the five days of the show, an increase of 8.8% compared to last year\u2019s edition. This represents a steady increase from the 62,934 visitors of 2021 and the 91,269 of the last year and is not far short of the 2019 level of 112,340. The international visitors to the 40th edition were 47,634 (48%), while Italian visitors were 51,685. A total of 811 journalists were also present, including 396 from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Cersaie<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Giovanni Savorani, Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica, explained: \u201cDespite challenging market conditions, Cersaie\u2019s strong appeal has enabled exhibiting companies to maximize their investment and strengthen their links with Italian and international distributors, architects, installers and real estate professionals.<\/em>. Italian ceramic products continue to be renowned in international markets for their intrinsic characteristics such as health, hygiene, durability and sustainability. The ‘Route 40’ exhibition trail chronicled the main product innovations that have cemented the role of Italian ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings as representatives of Italian design worldwide. We have also embarked on the crucial process of energy transition, although, as we pointed out to the politicians and institutional figures present at the show, the flawed ETS mechanism requires urgent action at European and national levels to avoid undermining these efforts<\/em>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An event with an international spirit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emilio Mussini, Vice Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica and head of Promotional Activities and Trade Fairs, gave the following summary of the extensive program of events that characterized Cersaie 2023: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMore than 2,000 people took part in the five events in the \u2018building, dwelling, thinking\u2019 program; 18 press caf\u00e9s were held both in person and via live streaming over the five days of the show; and Tiling Town attracted great interest and participation. The Cersaie Business delegation, organized with the valuable collaboration of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation MAECI and the Italian Trade Agency ITA, saw the participation of more than 250 professionals from Europe, North America and the Gulf region.”<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next edition of Cersaie will be held in Bologna, September 23-27, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
