The 28th edition of the Compasso d’Oro Awards, coinciding with the 70th anniversary (1954-2024), honored the best design projects, on display at the ADI Design Museum until September 16, 2024<\/h2>\n\n

Yesterday, June 20, 2024, the 28th edition of the Compasso d’Oro<\/strong>, the most important Italian design award<\/strong>, founded by Gio Ponti in 1954, was held at the ADI Design Museum<\/a>. The event was attended by prominent personalities such as Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region, and Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan. The ceremony was presented by journalist Claudia Conte. <\/p>\n\n

\"Compasso<\/figure>\n\n

At the Compasso d\u2019Oro 2024, 20 products<\/strong> were awarded, 9 Italians and two international creatives received a Compasso d’Oro Award for Lifetime Achievement<\/strong> along with 3 long-sellers. Moreover, 39 honorable mentions were awarded and special recognition was given through the 3 awards and 9 certificates of the “Targa Giovani\u201d section, dedicated to projects by students from Italian design universities. In total, 311 products<\/strong> from ADI Design Index 2022 and 2023 were included in the catalog. During the ceremony, significant figures who recently passed away were remembered, with special plaques for Manlio Armellini, Gaetano Pesce and Italo Rota, for their contributions to the culture of design. <\/p>\n\n

The jury of the Compasso d\u2019Oro 2024 included Maria Cristina Didero, author and independent curator, Luciano Galimberti, designer and ADI president, Francisco G\u00f3mez Paz, designer, Renata Cristina Mazzantini, director of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, Toshiyuki Kita, designer and ambassador of the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.<\/p>\n\n

The projects awarded the Compasso d’Oro 2024 will be on display at the ADI Design Museum until September 16, 2024. On show are the 174 products from this edition of the award.
