QU celebrated its fourth consecutive presence in the heart of Brera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
During Milano Design Week 2025, QU \u2013 a young Italian company specializing in technical-decorative lighting \u2013 celebrated its fourth consecutive presence in the heart of Brera with an installation that left a lasting impression. From April 7 to 13, its temporary showroom once again took place in an elegant Milanese building and its secluded \u201csecret garden,\u201d offering visitors an immersive experience centered around the theme of light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u201cQuattro \u2013 a taste of light”, a new chapter in the creative collaboration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The installation, titled \u201cQuattro \u2013 a taste of light,\u201d marked a new chapter in the creative collaboration between QU and art director Aldo Parisotto (Parisotto+Formenton Architetti). At the heart of the project, light was explored as a powerful tool capable of shaping environments and evoking emotions, intricately woven into the theme of hospitality. The journey unfolded through four distinct settings, each designed to reflect a different time of day and level of social interaction. The entrance from Via Cernaia welcomed visitors with an unexpected view of the inner garden \u2013 an invitation to step into a hidden world filled with soft lighting and a relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the garden, bistro tables nestled among camellias and a majestic magnolia offered a serene break from the city’s hustle. Gentle, portable lighting integrated into the greenery accompanied moments of refreshment and social exchange, culminating in a mini-kitchen set up inside the greenhouse, where the lighting subtly enhanced the culinary presentations \u2013 especially evocative at twilight. Indoors, three distinct spaces completed the experience: a horseshoe-shaped chef\u2019s table, illuminated by a custom site-specific chandelier; an intimate room with a large round table, perfect for conversation; and a working lounge designed as a hybrid space for relaxation and informal meetings. In each room, light took center stage, expertly calibrated to reinforce the mood and ambiance. The entire project perfectly embodied QU\u2019s design philosophy: indoor. outdoor. bespoke. With the consistent use of just four lighting collections, adapted to different contexts, the company reaffirmed its. Among the new features presented were two light sources designed especially for the \u201cQuattro \u2013 a taste of light\u201d event, both dedicated to the theme of hospitality and created by Parisotto + Formenton Architetti: BRILLINA and BRILLO CASTELLO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brillina is Qu\u2019s first rechargeable portable lamp, designed for Milan Design Week as part of the Quattro \u2013 a taste of light project, which explores the theme of hospitality. Created by Parisotto + Formenton Architetti, it merges function and emotion in a compact, versatile form designed to create soft, welcoming atmospheres in any setting\u2014indoors or out. Crafted from aluminum mechanical parts and technical polymers, it features a sandblasted Polymethylmethacrylate light guide with an integrated mirrored reflector, ensuring uniform and controlled illumination. The light source is powered by rechargeable batteries with a runtime of over 8 hours. On\/off and dimming functions are elegantly managed via a touch control located on the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A distinctive detail is the genuine leather strap on top, which allows Brillina to be used in unconventional ways\u2014hung from a branch, a shelf, or a wall hook\u2014adding a playful touch to its functional nature. With a form reminiscent of a contemporary lantern, Brillina carries a warm, adjustable, and poetic light\u2014perfect for moments of togetherness or quiet intimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
RILLO CASTELLO (Parisotto+Formenton Architetti) <\/strong>\u2013 <\/strong>CONCEPT MILANO DESIGN WEEK 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brillo Castello is the first chandelier by Qu, designed for Milan Design Week as part of the Quattro \u2013 a taste of light project, which explored the theme of hospitality. Created by Parisotto + Formenton Architetti, it defines the space with elegance and character through its sculptural, luminous presence, refined structural design, and ability to blend architectural rigor with visual lightness. Its modular nature allows for custom compositions, making it an ideal fit for a variety of settings\u2014from residential interiors to hospitality spaces such as lounges, lobbies, boutique hotels, and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Equipped with 40 high-power LED sources (totaling 80W) and fully dimmable, Brillo Castello delivers high- performance, adjustable lighting that gracefully adapts to different moments throughout the day. Each light point is fitted with a sandblasted Polymethylmethacrylate diffuser , designed to provide soft, even, and visually comfortable illumination. Brillo Castello transforms any space into a striking light- filled scene, becoming the true centerpiece\u2014versatile yet distinctive, discreet yet refined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
