Dutch Design Week 2025<\/strong> celebrates its 25th anniversary with a theme that looks to the future while embracing its journey: Past. Present. Possible. <\/em> From 18 to 26 October, Eindhoven transforms into a citywide lab of ideas and innovations, redefining the role of design in society.<\/p>\n\n

A festival built on experimentation<\/h3>\n\n

For nine days, thousands of designers \u2013 from emerging talents to renowned names \u2013 present projects in public spaces, repurposed factories, studios, and city squares. The goal is not to showcase finished products but to share raw ideas, prototypes, and open questions<\/strong> that challenge the boundaries of design. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cDutch Design Week is not a conventional exhibition, but a living lab for experimentation,\u201d says Miriam van der Lubbe, Creative Head of DDW. \u201cIt\u2019s where professionals, businesses, students, and audiences come together to test visions and imagine new scenarios.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

Past. Present. Possible: the design mindset <\/h3>\n\n

The theme of this edition encourages seeing design as a process that never ends. \u201cDesign thrives where there is room for what is unfinished, unknown, and yet to be imagined,\u201d Miriam continues. From local roots to a global network<\/h3>\n\n

Founded in 2001 as Designers Present<\/em>, the event has grown into an international platform connecting design with technology, ethics, ecology, economics, and health. The 25th edition renews this vision, staying true to the grassroots spirit that made DDW a global benchmark<\/strong> for independent and sustainable design. <\/p>\n\n
