The old farm building becomes a hybrid space that blends hospitality, retail, and local culture. Not a traditional store, but an intimate environment that evokes the atmosphere of a private home, inviting guests and visitors to explore flavors, stories, and objects deeply connected to the region.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"42331\" src=\"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/01&#xA9;AlexFilz-9280B-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"The Barn Apfelhotel\" class=\"wp-image-42331\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architecture and materials<\/h3>\n\n<p>The concept reinterprets the traditional barn typology, opening the ground floor with large glass windows that create a strong connection with the outdoors. The material palette mixes<strong> Venetian terrazzo, warm terracotta, dolomia stone, and reclaimed wood<\/strong>, shaping a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. Every element reflects the bond with South Tyrol: handwoven wicker lamps from Val d\u2019Ultimo, clay pieces from Caldaro, and restored family furniture combined with contemporary design.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"42343\" src=\"https:\/\/designdiffusion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/03&#xA9;AlexFilz-8837B-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"The Barn Apfelhotel\" class=\"wp-image-42343\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A fluid and undefined space<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Barn escapes strict definitions. It is at once <strong>a concept store, tasting lounge, floral atelier, and event space<\/strong>, with a large terrace acting as a magnet for people walking along the nearby trail. After the <strong>Apfelsauna<\/strong>, the <strong>Garden Suites<\/strong>, and the <strong>Brunnenhaus<\/strong> wellness area\u2014awarded at the AHEAD Europe Awards\u2014this new intervention completes a masterplan that redefines the concept of Alpine hospitality.
