DDN celebrates 35 years and blows out its first three hundred candles. Three hundred issues, a milestone that celebrates design as a bridge between past and future—a journey through decades of music, politics, and revolutions, with DDN as both witness and protagonist of creative evolution. This achievement stems from the vision of publisher Carlo Ludovico Russo, who, with remarkable foresight, set out to narrate the story of Made in Italy worldwide and to explore the state of international markets-an intuition that time has proven right. In this special edition, an opportunity to thank the companies that support us and those that have always supported us, as well as those who have contributed to making DDN the reality that everyone knows, we retrace the footsteps of masters such as Gio Ponti, Enzo Mari, Le Corbusier, whose visionary work continues to
inspire.
Artists like Aricò, who designed our celebratory cover, demonstrate how tradition can seamlessly merge with innovation, creating timeless works. The creations of Ammannati and Vitelli, revisited today, reveal an astonishing relevance-a continuous dialogue between eras. The Pipistrello lamp, an icon of style, evolves while preserving its essence, a symbol of constant transformation. And 2025 itself marks numerous other significant anniversaries. Together, we explore how the past illuminates the present, offering new perspectives for the future. This is an invitation to celebrate creativity, innovation, and the passion that drive the world of design– yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
The grand stage for this celebration will be the Salone del Mobile.Milano and the world’s most important Design Week, where we offer you an exclusive preview of what’s to come.
