In the historic center of Assisi, a homely and peaceful structure built on the ruins of St. Catherine’s monastery
In 1275 St. Catherine’s monastery was built to host a group of Benedictine nuns. Over the years Cistercian nuns, affiliates of the confraternity of St. Anthony and St. James etc. followed one another until 1900, when it became a prison.
The beauty of this building is the result of the history and elegance of this peaceful and silent place. The NUN Assisi Relais & SPA Museum is a luxury relais that accommodates 18 suites furnished by local craftsmen. Grey and dove grey are the main colors; linen and natural leather represent the soul of this luxurious yet essential environment.
New for 2020 is the Benedikto restaurant, with chef Enea Barbanera. The new restaurant returns to local heritage, with a food concept inspired by the traditional osteria. [Text Anguilla Segura]
