#Designgoeson: Designdiffusion.com talks with Elia and Stefano Vismara, from Vismaravetro, about how to look beyond the emergency to develop new projects
Stefano and Elia Vismara: “In this difficult moment for our country, Vismaravetro is dealing with the Covid-19 health emergency very seriously, resting on two inescapable principles. First of all, we worked to safeguard the health of our employees and of the community. In the meantime, it was equally important to keep providing consistent customer service and support. The company will reopen on May 4, as per government decree. During this shutdown, Vismaravetro has ensured the continuation of research and development, communication, and sales assistance. Moreover, since the end of February Vismaravetro has adopted all the necessary measures to minimize the risks for its employees, their families and all the people who came into contact with our staff.
Smart working to keep working
In order to protect employees, customers and operators, the company has autonomously decided to close, even before the forced stop ordered by the authorities. Nevertheless, we have continued to work, thanks to remote working. Thanks to the possibilities offered by the online system, Vismaravetro keeps offering its consulting service to the end customer, which makes it possible to configure the shower enclosure, order spare parts, or extend the warranty of their shower enclosure. Also the company’s social channels will continue to be active, maintaining a direct contact with customers. The administration and sales offices are working as usual, offering assistance to bathroom professionals, architects and interior designers who collaborate with the company on a regular basis.

The emergency and the cancellation of the Salone del Mobile: how to communicate overcoming the emergency
Production is suspended until May 4, as per government decree. However, for 2020 Vismaravetro has some important novelties in store, which should have been launched at the International Bathroom Exhibition. Since both Salone del Mobile di Milano and its side events, including the International Bathroom Exhibition have been cancelled, we are getting ready to launch the new products in alternative ways. We are considering several formats and we hope to present our novelties as soon as possible, perhaps even before summer. Communication has become more important than ever to keep contacts alive and to keep developing new ideas and new projects.
