Despite the resolution, even imm cologne has to surrender and shift to 2022
Over the last months, the team of imm cologne worked hard to develop safety measures and to create a special format. Unfortunately, in light of the evolution of the pandemic, imm cologne has decided to postpone the next edition until 2022.
To organize the 2021 edition, imm cologne worked hard on exhibitors and visitors’ safety. Exhibitors would have been able to choose different modules allowing them to have smaller and less expensive stands. Thanks to these stands, even young and small businesses will be able to participate, while established companies will still be able to have larger spaces. Moreover, smaller stands will make it possible to gather more companies in less halls, reducing costs.
Nevertheless, all the work done to develop this new format may lay the foundations of a new furniture fair concept from 2022, when (hopefully) the pandemic will be behind us.

imm cologne has developed imm@home, a platform with which the trade fair will expand business opportunities for exhibitors and reach the visitors who will not be able to go to fairs. imm@home will allow companies to present their products virtually during online sessions, offering real-time networking opportunities, even remotely.
Das Apartment HAUS: three designers for the special edition
For its tenth anniversary, Das HAUS prepared a special edition featuring Luca Nichetto, Sebastian Herkner, Studio Truly Truly, who took part in the past editions. The new project, Das Apartment HAUS, consisted in four apartments and several communal spaces: different solutions for private residences with bathroom/kitchen and examples of semi-public spaces for work, meetings or relaxation. Apartments and communal spaces were fully furnished to make it possible to experience the new way of managing the living space that is emerging these days.
