Some of the projects

During the meeting, Guillermo Sevillano will present the Gabriel García Márquez Library in Barcelona. This sculptural building dialogues with its historical and urban context offering the city a public space dedicated to learning, information exchange and socialization.

The expansion of the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts, designed with Foster Partners and due for completion in 2025, will be one of many projects for buildings dedicated to education and culture presented by Luis Maria Uriarte.

The “Projects for Education and Culture in Spain” initiative is promoted by the Florence Architects Foundation and is part of the “Glance Around” program path as the fifth in a cycle of architectural meetings initiated in 2022 and curated by architect Arianna Callocchia with the intention of fostering debate and cultural and professional exchange between the Italian and the international scene.

The meeting is organized under the patronage of the Embassy of Spain in Italy, the Order of Architects of Florence, CNAPPC – Italian Council of Architects, and DIDA – Department of ArchitectureUniFi. The initiative is also made possible thanks to the contribution of Chianti Banca.
