Cersaie 2024: over 95,000 attendees and nearly 50% international visitors

Global success and innovations in ceramic design: despite international challenges, Cersaie 2024 confirms itself as a key event for the industry

The 41st edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, once again confirmed its role as a global showcase for the industry, registering over 95,000 attendees, with a slight 4% decrease compared to 2023. Despite the complex economic landscape and ongoing international crises, the event proved to be an unmissable occasion for companies aiming to showcase product innovations within booths designed with high visual and emotional impact.

Cersaie 2024: 606 exhibitors from 25 countries across 15 halls

Taking place at Bologna Fiere from September 23 to 27, 2024, Cersaie spanned fifteen halls, covering a total of 145,000 square meters, with the participation of 606 exhibiting companies, including 332 in the tile sector, 91 in bathroom furnishings, and 183 in areas such as installation, raw materials, new surfaces, and services. Of these, 230 were international, representing 25 countries, once again highlighting the event’s strong global focus.

The fair days saw a slight decrease in Italian attendees, down by 6.7%, while international participation remained nearly unchanged with 47,095 foreign visitors (-1% compared to 2023). This stability allowed for a high level of quality in meetings between companies and professionals, as highlighted by Augusto Ciarrocchi, President of Confindustria Ceramica, who praised the high caliber of visitors, including distributors, architects, and real estate professionals. Ciarrocchi also emphasized that Italian ceramics continue to be a global benchmark, thanks to their design, sustainability, and respect for human rights.

On the agenda: Lectio Magistralis, events, and international delegations

Cersaie 2024 offered a rich program of events. Emilio Mussini, head of Promotional Activities at Confindustria Ceramica, outlined the successes of this edition: from the Lectio Magistralis by Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto, which attracted 1,200 attendees, to the events in the Construct, Live, Think program, as well as the Press Cafés and the increasingly popular Città della Posa. Also noteworthy was the presence of the Cersaie Business delegation, composed of over 240 international operators from Europe, North America, the Gulf region, and Africa.

The next edition of Cersaie is scheduled to take place in Bologna from September 22 to 26, 2025.
