CIFF Shanghai 2024: a grand stage for international and sustainable design celebrating innovation and creativity
The 54th edition of CIFF Shanghai, the China International Furniture Fair, left visitors in awe of the incredible quality achieved by the companies that chose to exhibit their products. The event took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai Hongqiao) under the theme “Design Empowerment · Dual Internal-External Drive”.
A Stage for Design
The fair, structured into thematic areas such as Design Eden – Contemporary Design Trade Fair, Sofa Pavilion, Smart Sleep Pavilion, and Living & Dining Rooms Furniture Pavilion, hosted five exhibitions: CIFF WMF, CIFF Upholstery Tech, CIFF Offices & Public Spaces Exhibition, CIFF Urban Outdoor Furniture Exhibition, and CIFF Home Textiles & Accessories Lifestyle Exhibition. This integration brought the entire furniture supply chain together under one roof.
Success and International growth
CIFF Shanghai 2024 gathered over 1,300 brands across an exhibition space of 300,000 square meters, attracting a total of 89,433 professional visitors, including 10,486 from around the world. Additionally, the presence of international visitors increased by 18.31%, highlighting a transition where Chinese companies have evolved from being “exporters of products” to “exporters of brands.”

The outcome of this edition is undoubtedly positive, not only due to the high attendance and impressive scale but especially because of the originality of the product designs, the quality of the stands, and the companies’ ability to provide innovative solutions for well-being in homes, offices, and public spaces.

- CAMERICH, with its sustainable “zero waste” choice in the “Transit Garden” project, tells a story that goes beyond the product itself to encompass the entire packaging system, highlighting the interaction between people and the product.
- HC28 Cosmo has made customization the standard while allowing for customizable standardization, enabling the modular creation of products and reducing waste, all while enhancing the overall aesthetics.
- CHIC CASA, in collaboration with Rison Home and the appliances imported from V-ZUG, has created a unique chic style characterized by artistic details such as mosaics and murals.
- COOMO showcased lifestyle, comfort, and beauty through attractive and trendy products from international brands.
- DAaZ features products with a minimalist and understated design, characterized by unconventional proportions.
- Higold introduced a new collection with a unique design and simple lines, inspired by the 1960s.
- MARATTI presented Earth Forest Space, designed to create an innovative community and a functional hub for agile organizations.

This year, the fair featured 15 exhibitions covering a wide range of sectors, including design, tea culture, pop culture, materials, artificial intelligence, lifestyle, and sleep, all curated by renowned professionals in collaboration with top brands and designers.
