From February 6 to 9, 2025, the fifth edition of the event celebrates the union of design and high altitude with a program filled with meetings, installations, and exclusive events
The Courmayeur Design Week-end returns for the fifth consecutive year, from February 6 to 9, 2025, bringing innovation, creativity, and design culture to the foot of Mont Blanc. An event that celebrates the longevity and evolution of the project, featuring exciting new developments and a lineup of internationally renowned guests.
A breathtaking program: featuring renowned architects and unmissable meetings
Talk on Top, the now-established event of Skyway Monte Bianco, will host renowned architect Alberto Meda, a leading figure in industrial design and winner of prestigious international awards. Meda will take center stage in an exclusive talk set against the stunning backdrop of the Pavillon at sunset.
Among the big names is architect Cino Zucchi, who will engage in a conversation with Giulio Iacchetti, as well as the duo of Giulio Cappellini and Mario Trimarchi, who will open the event with a talk dedicated to total-white design.

Unseen installations and art: design merges with the landscape
The central Piazza Abbé Henry will host an installation curated by the PARK Associati and PIUARCH studios, where snow and ice will interpret the theme of the event: “Unexpected Directions.” The sleds, decorated by renowned architects, will be auctioned off for charity.
Among the new features is the group exhibition “Dis Quois,” curated by Nicholas Bewick, and the total-white photo set designed by Matteo Ragni in Piazza Brocherel. Meanwhile, the Waldensian Church will be the focus of a redesign project curated by Mario Trimarchi and Cristian Catania.
Sport and Design: skiCAD and creative traditions
On Saturday, February 8, the historic skiCAD race, a giant slalom dedicated to architects and designers, will take place. The trophies will be designed by architect Massimo Roj, who will also create an artistic installation at the washhouse on Via Donzelli.
The Dolonne cable cars, customized by selected designers, will transform the skiing experience into a moving story.
Sustainability and Design: a practical approach
The event focuses on sustainability through the use of recycled materials and the incorporation of snow and ice in the installations. Additionally, the setups are designed to outlast the event, enhancing public spaces such as the Waldensian Church and the historic washhouses.
