“Salone del Mobile.Milano, the first Euroluce International Lighting Forum is born.”

Light illuminates art, connects worlds, highlights concepts, and is a weaver of the imaginary.

“Brilliant minds create projects that always push further, but further is never enough when it comes to light. A discreet, dominant, absolute protagonist – it is precisely the versatility of the boundary between the material and the immaterial that makes lighting a conditio sine qua non, not only in our furnishings as a design element but also in our lives. Light illuminates art, connects worlds, highlights concepts, and is a weaver of the imaginary.

Light, weaver of the imaginary

A new chapter opens for the Salone del Mobile.Milano, a precious opportunity for interaction not only among Designers, but also a chance to listen to the opinions and different visions of Professionals from various fields, because light touches the person, and design is a social matter.

Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Annalisa Rosso, Director of the Forum, Editorial Director and Cultural Events Advisor of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, and Carlo Urbinati, President of Assoluce of FederlegnoArredo, in collaboration with APIL (the Association of Italian Lighting Designers), are the heart and engine of this important beginning. However, the voices involved, which are constantly expanding, are many, just like the various interpretation possibilities that the material of light allows and enables. Some interesting examples for their vision are Studio Drift, Weissbard, and Marjan van Aubel.”
