“Producing beauty” is no longer enough: to conquer the American market, an elite strategy is required. Here is how the Masterclass PID 2026 is transforming 30 SMEs into global icons
The United States continues to be the world’s second-largest market for the Italian home furnishings sector, with exports reaching €1.7 billion in the first nine months of 2025. However, the current geopolitical climate and global trade challenges have raised the bar. Today’s American market does not forgive improvisation; it rewards structured excellence. In this landscape, Made in Italy internationalization is no longer just an expansion choice—it is a true corporate “maturity test.”

The Leap to the USA: Beyond Trade Fairs
Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) possess extraordinary products but lack the necessary structure to sustain the speed and selectivity of the U.S. market. To succeed, the “Made in Italy” brand must learn a new language: one that is digital, organizational, and incredibly fast.
Leaping across the ocean can no longer rely on word-of-mouth or a single trade show. It requires a process of Made in Italy internationalization that begins with the evolution of internal processes and digital positioning.
Masterclass PID 2026: €40,000 for Your American Future
To meet this challenge, the Masterclass PID 2026 was born—an elite program promoted by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce. The project selects 30 “visionary” companies from the wood, furniture, and lighting sectors to guide them through a six-month journey that blends the depth of an MBA with the agility of a startup accelerator.
The goal is ambitious: to provide entrepreneurs with a “free shot” at innovation. Selection is not based on turnover, but on determination and brand growth potential. Participating in this program means making a serious investment in Made in Italy internationalization, preparing the company to meet American buyers and importers with a defined offensive strategy.

The Roadmap: From Specialized Training to Salone del Mobile 2027
The total value of the service for each company is €40,000, for a symbolic commitment of only €1,000. The program includes:
- 111 hours of training with experts in the U.S. market.
- 1-to-1 tailored consultancy to refine the business model.
- Trade mission to the USA scheduled for Autumn 2026.
- Elite Matchmaking: The journey will culminate at Salone del Mobile 2027, where companies will meet a network of selected American buyers, arriving at the appointment finally “market-ready.”
Furthermore, a non-repayable grant of up to €20,000 (covering 60% of investments) is provided to align digital and communication processes with overseas standards, making Made in Italy internationalization a nearly zero-risk process.
