Slalom reinvents acoustics with sustainable solutions, combining innovation, regenerated materials, and elegant design for the contract and hospitality sectors.
Slalom redefines acoustic comfort with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. Specializing in the contract and hospitality sectors, their products are created from regenerated materials like plastic transformed into PET felt and bio-based resources such as wool, wood, and natural fibers, with a continuous commitment to cutting-edge green solutions.
Slalom’s commitment to recycling and acoustic design
Following the principles of the 2030 Agenda and ESG standards, Slalom minimizes environmental impact at every stage of its product life cycle. Using 100% traceable post-consumer materials, with recycling rates ranging from 76% to 96%, the company also reduces the use of chemical components in the production process. Slalom’s sound-absorbing panels are designed to be durable, 100% recyclable, and easily reusable.
The neologism “Acoustethics,” coined by founder Elettra de Pellegrin, embodies the brand’s philosophy: designing acoustic products that combine high technical performance, aesthetics, and tactile quality, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.
News at Orgatec 2024
At Orgatec 2024, Slalom unveils three new creations. Bloom, winner of several international awards, is a sound-absorbing panel inspired by herbariums, made from regenerated plastic materials, linen, and carefully selected flower petals that respect biodiversity. Woody, winner of the 2024 Red Dot Design Award, integrates FSC-certified regenerated wood and recycled plastic into a lightweight, easy-to-install acoustic wall, thanks to innovative thermoforming technology. Finally, Bouclé is a SEAQUAL® fabric made from recycled ocean plastic fibers, known for its softness and pastel colors that evoke the beauty of nature.
Slalom thus reaffirms its role as a pioneer in acoustics, combining design, sustainability, and innovation.
