In Milan, the first Abimis flagship showroom opens, a meeting point between contemporary design and historical tradition
Ten years after its founding, Abimis opens its first flagship showroom in Milan, in the heart of the city’s design district. Located at Corso Monforte 16, within a historic 17th-century building, the space spans 90 square meters on the ground floor and opens onto two courtyards that enhance its beauty. The contrast between old and new is evident in every corner: the stainless steel kitchens, a hallmark of the brand, blend harmoniously with the building’s original features.
The iconic Abimis collections: Ego, Atelier, Atria, and AlterEgo
The first Abimis flagship showroom in Milan is divided into four rooms, each dedicated to the brand’s most iconic collections: Ego, Atelier, Atria, and AlterEgo. Each space is designed to reflect the essence of these collections. Curated by Studio Salaris, the design blends the professional aesthetics of stainless steel with the warmth of interiors, using sand tones and textured surfaces, complemented by original terrazzo flooring and anthracite parquet.
AlterEgo: the beginning of a journey
At the showroom entrance stands the AlterEgo sideboard, featuring burlwood-clad doors and the signature radial details of the collection. This piece offers the first glimpse of the artisanal craftsmanship that defines all Abimis solutions, serving as the perfect introduction for visitors entering this unique space.
Ego: The Kitchen That Meets the Universe
The showroom’s most impressive room showcases the Ego collection, a true symbol of Abimis’ identity. Displayed with an AISI 304 stainless steel island and satin brass ring handles, this kitchen perfectly balances elegance and functionality. An integrated snack counter and stainless steel columns housing ovens and coffee machines complete the composition. A geometric-patterned wallpaper evokes the celestial sphere, while a smoked glass pendant lamp adds a touch of sophistication to the space.
Àtria and Atelier: Nature and Light
Before Ego, we can find Àtria and Atelier collections. Àtria is the outdoor proposal, showcased in an intimate room with a mezzanine above, featuring a stainless steel railing. Atelier, on the other hand, is presented as a wall-mounted block with a mirrored finish that reflects the texture of the terrazzo flooring, creating a play of light and reflections that makes the space even more captivating.
Stainless Steel at the heart of this project
Anna Ongaro, leading the brand, emphasizes the significance of this new showroom, symbolizing a decade of growth. “Come discover the kitchen that didn’t exist” is the slogan chosen for the inauguration, an invitation to explore the balance between history and innovation. Stainless steel, the material that has made the brand famous, is the common thread that connects every element of the showroom, from architectural details to design solutions.
