The call for ideas launched by Emergency and SOSDesign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the organization has opened
Emergency and SOSDesign, in collaboration with Desall, launch DESIGN AGAINST WAR: a call for ideas aimed at offering high quality medical and surgical care to war victims.
The same principle, combined with the awareness of the disasters caused by war and the desire to compensate for people’s distress, inspired the foundation of Emergency in 1994. Therefore, this NGO has been promoting a culture of peace and solidarity, and has been committing to the respect of human rights for 25 years now.
Open until June 27, 2019, DESIGN AGAINST WAR is a call to find solutions for Spaces, Products, Services able to solve, contain, facilitate, support, emphasize practical, psychological, relational, cultural aspects in contexts deeply affected by conflicts.
The contest is addressed to projects capable of informing a concept (abstract), a solution (practical) or a process (creative or constructive) aimed at healing the areas affected by flagrant and extensive conflicts, such as Afghanistan and Iraq, or insidious and circumscribed like in some areas in Italy.
In September and October, CASA EMERGENCY will host the exhibition of the projects, awards ceremony of the winners in the 3 categories and a meeting on the scenarios unveiled by the call.
