The Dalmar is a luxury hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with contemporary style interiors designed by DesignAgency
The Dalmar hotel, set in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village, Florida, is a relaxation oasis for its guests and an entertainment destination for the locals. The 25-storey building hosts 209 bedrooms and 5 food&beverage concepts: Rose’s Coffee Bar, The Terrace, Lobby Bar, Pool Bar and The Sparrow.
Bars, cafés, restaurants
Rose’s Coffee Bar is at street level; it is a café by day and a drink and wine bar by night. Its walls are clad in wood and porcelain tiles with geometric decorations.
The bar counter is in white marble with brass details. In the center of this space are tall and rectangular tables used for quick breaks. For those who are staying longer, comfortable armchairs and sofas, both indoors and on the patio, are available.
The Rose’s Coffee Bar leads to The Terrace Grill bistro, open at lunchtime. It is furnished with turquoise and navy leather and velvet seats, and round marble tables with antique bronze edges. The bar area is characterized by oak panels topped with Calcutta marble. Connected to it is a metal shelving unit with small square and rectangular mirrors.
The reception area
The sixth floor is the beating heart of the hotel, hosting the reception desk, the Lobby Bar and the Pool Bar. The reception area is large and bright, with walls clad in wood or quartz, enlivened by neon paintings by Canadian artist Thrush Holmes.
The reception area
Behind the reception desks in white marble, large windows reveal the landscape. Natural elements and tropical details pleasantly contrast with contemporary furnishings.
While communal areas are full of energy, the bedrooms and suites of The Dalmar Hotel are intimate places with a delicate atmosphere, where you can relax. Light colors, neutral finishes, natural woods, leather furnishings, brass lamps and tables decorate the rooms.
DesignAgency, the interior design studio that created the interiors of the hotel, designed also the bar/restaurant on the 25th floor, The Sparrow, in collaboration with consulting company Proprietors LLC. The Sparrow, elegant and refined, recalls a ’70s style.
There we can find colorful carpets, velvet sofas and armchairs in vivid colors, marbles, brass mirrors, chandeliers and greenery that decorate from above.
The restaurant is also equipped with a terrace with panoramic views, decorated with a mural painting by Brazilian artist Amauri Torezan. [Text Carlotta Russo – Photo Bob Gundu]
