Design Holding for high-end Italian design, among the most viewed in May

The posts on Design Holding, the group of design excellences created by Investindustrial and the Carlyle Group, including B&B Italia, Flos, Louis Poulsen and Arc Linea, have been among the most read for two years now. In 2019 Design Holding made its debut at Salone del Mobile in the new S Project area. The shared space was designed by Calvi Brambilla, design curators of Flos (read here).

Divani & Divani by Natuzzi celebrates its 60th anniversary with a new store. In Gerenzano, in the province of Varese, it opened Italy’s largest store, a 1,000 sq m exhibition area featuring armchairs, sofas, beds, furniture for the living room and accessories.

The new Muzeum Susch in the Swiss Alps, among the top posts in July 2019

Muzeum Susch, founded by Polish entrepreneur Grażyna Kulczyk, is located among the remains of a former vicarage and hospice  building. The ruins formed part of a rural monastery founded in 1157 at the foot of the Flüela Pass which became an industrial brewery building in the 19th century. Swiss architects Chasper Schmidlin and Lukas Voellmy were entrusted with the restoration, respecting the history of the building.

Casacor São Paulo 2019: a successful post in August 2019, on Designdiffusion.com and DDNBlog.it

Casacor is an exhibition of temporary interior architecture, mostly housing, although there are also bars and restaurants, and some hotel concepts. Each project is designed by an architect or landscape architect, and the brands provide materials, finishes, construction and fitting-out/furnishing of the rooms, including all areas: living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and garden. It has been held in Brazil and South America every year for 23 editions. Casacor São Paulo 2019 hosted 75 projects by over 90 architects and landscape architects.
