In Paris, a hotel housed in a historical palace has preserved the charm of the early 20th century to offer greater comfort to its guests
Hotel Particulier Villeroy, opened at the end of 2019, is in Paris, in the 8th arrondissment. Located in the heart of the “Golden Triangle”, this exclusive hotel hosts two apartments, five suites and four rooms in a mansion from 1908, listed as a “Monument Historique” since 2014. The mansion was originally built by Ernest Rahir for Maurice Villeroy, a member of the family who established the company Villeroy & Boch.
The two Grand Premier suites, the three Premier suites, the four Premier rooms and the two apartments are located on three independent floors. The five suites, ranging from 50 to 60 sq m, and the four bedrooms can be transformed into larger apartments.
The restoration has preserved the height of the ceilings in order not to alter the original architecture of the mansion, which keeps its ancient charm. A large central atrium leads to the three floors, the communal spaces, the Trente-Trois restaurant and Jean Goujon bar.

Both fixed and mobile furnishings were tailor-made by Italian brand Promemoria. Natural and precious materials and soft gray shades dominate the spaces for a sober comfort, typical of a historical building. Promemoria has used products designed by Romeo Sozzi, owner of the company, his son Davide and designers who have been working with the brand, such as Bruno Moinard and David Collins Studio.
Trente-Trois restaurant, led by Michelin-starred chef Sébastien Sanjou, is furnished like an ancient dining room, with contemporary decorations and works by Pierre Bonnefille. The fireplace and soft lights lend to the Jean Goujon bar the atmosphere of a private club, hosted in a luxurious salon decorated with original golden leaf molding.
