A new edition of SICAM is about to return, where design meets materials, ideas and components
There are only a handful of weeks to go before the gates open at SICAM 2024, the 15th edition of the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Materials for the Furniture Industry, which returns to enliven the calendar of trade fairs from Oct. 15 to 18 next year.
An appointment of great importance not only for industry and craftsmanship in the sector, but also for the world of planning and design, which here finds ideas and proposals for developing what will be the furniture of the future. Whether materials, decorations or mechanisms, in fact, at SICAM it will be possible to touch all those elements that can make a fundamental contribution to the definition of a project and the engineering of a new collection.
A turnkey fair
SICAM 2024 confirms the now stainless partnership with Pordenone Fiere, placing it in the heart of one of the most important areas for furniture production at the European level, reaffirming once again the formula that has decreed its success: an annual event that attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the world in an elegant, “comfortable,” effective setting, imagined and built to put the product at the center of attention. A turnkey fair, where exhibitors and visitors can focus solely on their business, since every organizational aspect-from parking to the catalog, from catering to hospitality-is managed as an integral part of the services offered.
Biggest edition ever
SICAM 2024 will be the largest edition ever: thanks to the spaces added last year to Hall 5 and the further expansion of Hall 8. This year’s fair will reach a record 20,000 square meters of exhibition space, in which tens of thousands of products from which the furniture of the future will be created.
Animating the 20,000 square meters available will be just under 700 exhibitors, 31 percent of them from abroad, with Germany, Turkey, Austria and Spain in the top ranks. Definitely prominent is the Italian contingent, about 500 exhibitors who will arrive in the Friulian capital from Lombardy (31 percent of national exhibitors), Veneto (25 percent), Marche and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, both with a share of 12 percent.
A showcase for innovation
Creativity, technique, quality, and design will also be the watchwords of the 15th edition of SICAM: visitors expected from all over the world (in 2023 there were 8,912 companies, including 32 percent from 112 countries) will once again have the opportunity to “touch with their own hands” the thousands of solutions proposed by companies, thus being able to quickly and very effectively identify not only the answers to their needs, but draw a map of what the trends of the upcoming furniture shows will be.
