Brave, light, solid: three directions for the future of design

Ambiente Trends 26+ sets the style for 2026 across interior design, decoration and creativity. All the latest from Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld

Design is not just about aesthetics. It’s a way of thinking, living and communicating. The 2026 trends from the three international fairs — Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld — speak precisely to this. Brave, light and solid are the three style languages set to shape the worlds of interiors, decoration and creative DIY.

Ambiente Trends 26+

Curated by Stilbüro bora.herke.palmisano , the trends gathered under the title Ambiente Trends 26+ offer an exclusive insight into the materials, colours and styles set to shape the future of design. Here’s how they unfold across the three key events taking place in Frankfurt from 6 to 10 February 2026.

Three styles, one shared vision

Under the unifying theme “Dreams. Facts. Stories.”, Ambiente Trends 26+ presents three design approaches:

  • Brave celebrates bold, expressive and experimental design. Artistic forms, unexpected material combinations, retro references and visual storytelling come together in a new sense of creative freedom.
  • Light conveys lightness and clarity. Ethereal colours, transparency, flowing materials and luminous surfaces create airy, delicate spaces — anything but fragile.
  • Solid is grounded in stability and durability. Clean volumes, robust materials and a design focused on longevity come together in an essential, modular and sustainable aesthetic.

These trends consistently run through all three fairs, shaping both practical and inspirational scenarios for interior design, seasonal decoration, and the DIY world.

Ambiente 2026: new spaces for a new way of living

Christmasworld 2026: emotion, atmosphere, decoration
