Sparano + Mooney Architecture crafts an elegant and sustainable alpine retreat where architecture, nature, and lifestyle blend into a unique sensory experience
Nest is much more than a mountain home: it is a project designed to integrate seamlessly with the landscape and respect its rhythms. The building gently follows the terrain, nestled among aspen trees with expansive valley views. In this setting, residential design becomes a tool to create an authentic connection with the environment, without ostentation.

Every detail, from natural materials to compositional choices, reflects a deep sensitivity to the place, combining functionality and poetry.
Residential design inspired by forest bathing
The concept of forest bathing guided the entire project: walking among trees, breathing in silence, experiencing the woods. For this reason, the house was designed to remain in the background, allowing nature to take center stage. The residence adapts to the slope, clearings, and natural daylight. Architectural solutions don’t impose but accompany, becoming experiences to live.

Privacy and hospitality
The clients sought a balance between intimacy and sociability. That’s why the master suite is positioned separately from the common areas by a glass bridge, which ensures discretion without emphasizing separation. Shared spaces, on the other hand, are spacious, bright, and versatile, naturally adapting to the various moments of domestic life.

Tailored interiors
The kitchen reflects the lifestyle of a couple passionate about cooking and entertaining. Next to the main cooking area, a well-organized pantry with dedicated spaces facilitates daily use. Warm materials, balanced proportions, and comfort-focused details create a welcoming atmosphere.
The same design language is echoed in the library and relaxation area, where each space interprets interior design as an authentic expression of contemporary living.

A sustainable home: efficiency and residential design
Nest adopts advanced technological solutions to provide living comfort while minimizing environmental impact. Underfloor heating, efficient thermal insulation, and abundant natural light form the foundation of a project where residential design merges with responsible vision.
Large glass surfaces directly connect the interiors with the landscape, strengthening the bond with the outdoors and defining a new conscious living model.

A contemporary manifesto of residential design
Nest embodies a clear vision: living with nature through respect and beauty. Sparano + Mooney Architecture delivers a project that illustrates what it means today to approach residential design with sensitivity, care, and foresight.
Every design choice reflects a precise goal: to create a refuge that endures over time, speaks to the landscape, and fosters wellbeing. This is how a new standard of residential design is born, where functionality and emotion coexist.
