From April 21st to 26th, Fiera Milano Rho hosts global excellence, blending technological innovation, collectible design, and new horizons for the contract sector
International design is coming home. The 64th edition of Salone del Mobile 2026 will open its doors from April 21st to 26th at Fiera Milano Rho, consolidating its role as the world capital of contemporary project culture. The figures presented during the press conference at the Triennale di Milano a few weeks ago describe a colossal event: over 1,900 exhibitors will bring to life a net surface area of 169,000 square meters, which is already completely sold out.

The Return of the Biennials: Kitchen and Bathroom
The 2026 edition marks the long-awaited return of two industry pillars. EuroCucina with FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) will host 106 brands ready to showcase the integration of artificial intelligence in home appliances. New devices that recognize food and suggest recipes are set to transform the kitchen into a fluid and connected ecosystem.
Simultaneously, the International Bathroom Exhibition will feature 163 exhibitors. Here, the focus shifts to the concept of the “home spa” and material longevity. Design becomes tactile and sustainable, with solutions that reduce water consumption without sacrificing refined aesthetics. Well-being and hygiene guide every innovation in this section.

Exceptional Debuts and Architectural Research
Salone del Mobile 2026 introduces brand-new formats to intercept shifting market trends. Debuting in Halls 9-11 is Salone Raritas, a platform dedicated to collectible design curated by Annalisa Rosso, with an exhibition layout by Formafantasma. This space will welcome 25 exhibitors selected from top galleries and unique icons, creating a direct bridge between special production and the professional market.
Another strategic novelty concerns the Contract sector. Anticipating its official 2027 debut, Rem Koolhaas’s OMA studio will present a Lectio and an international forum. The goal is to analyze how large-scale integrated systems and services are changing the way public spaces and hospitality are designed.

Young Talents and Urban Culture
The beating heart of experimentation remains the SaloneSatellite. Now in its 27th edition, it will welcome 700 designers under 35 from 43 different countries. The theme chosen for 2026 celebrates the encounter between craftsmanship and technological innovation. Young designers will demonstrate how “handmade” can dialogue with industry to create authentic and responsible objects.
As per tradition, the event will extend beyond the fairgrounds to embrace the entire city of Milan. From the opening night at Teatro alla Scala to the textile installations in Piazza del Duomo with K-Way, design will take over the streets. Over 200 showrooms will open their doors to the public, making Salone del Mobile 2026 a widespread and all-encompassing cultural experience.
