Ventura Projects at Milan Design Week 2019
Ventura Projects turns 10 and is alive and kicking. After two successful editions of Ventura Centrale, in the ex-Magazzini Raccordati in Ferrante Aporti street, and one edition of Ventura Future Projects, in 2019 Ventura Projects is back at Milan Design Week.
Ventura Centrale
Ventura Centrale doubles the vaults, from 9 to 16, with quality exhibitors as always. This year, an Italian coffee will be offered by Lavazza and Gufram, with a new coffee machine.
Raptstudio will present interactive furniture in an immersive installation, involving furniture and accessories manufacturers to create a sort of “collective conversation”.
Big international names such as Fabio Novembre, OMA, Maarten Baas, Maarten Van Severen, Richard Hutten and others are the stars of Lensvelt‘s installation with Modular Ligthing.
Other vaults will host the Cosentino group, with an installation by Studio Layer (Benjamin Hubert), by Dekton, the furniture from Brazil with dpot, and finally Holland again with Maarten Baas.
Ventura Future Projects and BASE
Ventura Future Projects makes its debut in 2019 in the zona Tortona area. On a surface of 3,700 square meters in the ex-Ansaldo area, now BASE, Ventura Future Projects explores the research in design.
From perfumes, with immersive and engaging installations such as “SOM tales of perfume“, to the relationship between people and things, with Diederik Schneemann from Holland, and Mash.T Design Studio, from South Africa.
An interesting research topic is biodesign. In “Future (H)eart(H): 7 Dutch Design visions for a livable earth”, the designers will offer food for thinking on the applications of design in the making of parts of the human body and more.
Finally, Ventura Future Projects will host design schools, and foreign countries design collective, such as the DITP-Department of Thailand Promotion. New for Ventura Future Projects 2019, is the admission fee: 5 euros.
