Lambrate Design District is back at Fuorisalone again in 2019, with a vast programme of events, exhibitions and installations, covering an exhibition area of over 13,000 square metres which, in 2018, attracted over 85,000 visitors.
Din – Design In: over 100 designer
For the seventh year in a row, Din – Design In, a collective exhibition organized by Promotedesign.it, hosts more than 100 designers, companies and design schools, including the University G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara.
Swiss Krono Goup tells the story of the BE SWISSTAINABLE project, which raises awareness about ethical and eco-sustainable production, inspired by the fairy tale of Pinocchio. The project is a “widespread exhibition”, touching three places in the Fuorisalone: Brera, Piazza San Fedele and, of course, Lambrate.
The house of Braun
Habits design studio, the industrial building located in Oslavia street 17, hosts an interactive exhibition on the history of Braun. The exhibition encourages people to think about new domestic lifestyles, with projects developed in the last 3 years by the Smart Design-School laboratory of the Design Politecnico of Milan. Among the topics, stands out Zero Waste, an area focused on reducing food waste that will show how to reuse food leftovers.
The futue of hospitality with Simone Micheli
Hotel Regeneration social space | social life | social time, a project by Simone Micheli with Hotel & Tourism Forum, PKF hotelexperts & AboutHotel, comes back to OfficinaVentura 14 for the second year. Hospitality and smart technology merge and create a project with an innovative content, where the ambiences usually making up the hotel take unexpected shapes, tailored to the different needs of contemporary hospitality.
These are just some of the many exhibitions, installations and initiatives of the Lambrate Design District. The Milanese design week is also covered by the students of the Mohole School, in a blog featuring interviews, images and videos, thus telling the story of everything happening in that week packed with events.
