May is the month of design in New York. From 10 to 22 May, design professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world go to The Big Apple. On this occasion, Design Pavilion comes back on Times Square, offering 13 days of installations, talks, performances and exhibitions. Five million visitors are expected. Each year, Design Pavilion offers a curated program of interactive, temporary structures and spaces that highlight the possibilities of design and architecture. The event takes place across five areas between the 42nd and 47th streets that can be visited with free admission.

This is the starting point for the “Teca House” project and the short film “Dreaming the real”, which tells its story. Through images and reflections we can explore architect Federico Delrosso’s design approach and methods. Directed by Luca De Santis and curated by Davide Giannella, the film shows a year and a half long trip through visions and imageries. The relationship between past and present and between the “work” and the context is balanced without altering the balance of the place by enhancing the environmental value and becoming a cultural and a visual landmark
