De Padova has recently inaugurated its first showroom in London, near Boffi Chelsea, in the district of Brompton Cross, an island dedicated to Italian design
“London is not just a European capital, but a capital of the world. After Milan, Paris and New York, the new De Padova opening could only be in another of the world’s major cities,” says Piero Lissoni, art director of the company that, since the merger with Boffi in 2015, has had the opportunity to expand its presence worldwide, first within the network of existing showrooms and now with unique company-owned spaces.
“The proximity to the Boffi Chelsea store allows us to offer our customers the best design solutions for De Padova, Boffi, MA/U Studio and, now, also ADL” (which is the latest brand that has been acquired by the company based in Lentate sul Seveso – Monza e Brianza).
Featuring white walls and large windows on the first floor of a modern 4-story building redesigned by British architect David Chipperfield, the space was designed under the creative direction of Lissoni, together with the Boffi Group Design & Style office, and showcases the group’s complete interior design offering with that instinctive taste for beauty and care for objects typical of the brand. “An extraordinary space, quite different from the traditional furniture store, an exceptional loft space that showcases a complete interior design offering,” as Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of the group, says.
