Danese Milano celebrates ‘16 animali’, the iconic jigsaw puzzle created by designer Enzo Mari, with 16 leading figures
From 16 December 2019 to 6 January 2020, Danese Milano presents in its showroom in Milan 16 animali, 16 autori, an exhibition that celebrates the jigsaw puzzle created by designer Enzo Mari in 1957 for Danese, whose protagonists are 16 animals.
An exhibition to celebrate a design icon in a completely new way, with 16 artists
Giulio Iacchetti, Art Director of Danese and curator of the exhibition, invited 15 professionals from the world of design, architecture, graphics and fashion to reinterpret with him the 16 animals of Enzo Mari’s puzzle. Each artist was given an animal to reinterpret and personalize using one’s imagination and personality.
These contributions – 16 including Iacchetti’s – led to the creation of unique, colorful and original pieces presented by their authors during the exhibition. The works will be kept in the Danese archive.
